SCORE Foundation Welcomes Glenn W. Bailey Foundation and Lexmark as First-time Sponsors of Small Business Resources

Foundation Starts 2023 with Wide Range of Institutional Underwriters

WASHINGTON, D.C. – January 19, 2023 – The SCORE Foundation, the philanthropic arm of SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, today announced new underwriting support from the Glenn W. Bailey Foundation and Lexmark.  Both organizations are first-time sponsors with the Foundation and join a diverse group of institutions providing financial support to expand SCORE’s national programs and resources that propel small business success.

The Glenn W. Bailey Foundation, a foundation that focuses on programs that support career paths in STEM and entrepreneurship, will fund creation of educational business content to help women founders in these and other industries.  A new series of articles and tools will provide tips and strategies on such topics as winning government contracts, identifying grant opportunities for women-owned businesses and more.

Lexmark, a global imaging and IoT solutions leader based in the U.S., will sponsor business skills content for small business owners, from how-to guides covering start-up basics to going global.

Lexmark GO Line series of printers and all-in-ones are designed specifically for small- and medium-sized business.

“With the financial investment from these sponsors, we are able to help SCORE increase the resources and tools that help small business owners tackle day to day issues and avoid costly mistakes,” said Liz Sara, president of the SCORE Foundation.  “In the last fiscal year, SCORE helped more than 25,000 new businesses get started through free mentoring, educational programs and resources.”
